This initiative includes three weeks of public events, fun and blogs as our scientists and biotechnologists show you what they are doing to make life better and better. Whether it's developing a vaccine for cancer, finding a revolutionary new way to treat Alzheimer's disease, breeding bananas that could reduce malnutrition in poorer countries or fighting horse and bird flu.

AusBiotech 2007 National Conference

The conference showcases Australian innovation for biotechnology industry representatives from approximately 30 countries.


14 October
Queensland Multicultural Festival

The multicultural festival promotes the importance of cultural diversity in the Smart State, and provides Queenslanders with an annual celebratory event focused on multiculturalism.


23-26 October
Australian Public Sector, Anti-corruption Conference, Sydney

The APSAC Conference 2007 will enhance the knowledge and understanding of corruption risks by public officials and other external stakeholders. Delegates will be provided with relevant and up-to-date information to improve their capacity to respond effectively to these threats.
