Smart State update - 24 October 2006
Premier Peter Beattie has released the Smart State Progress Report 2006/07. This report provides, for the first time, an extensive account of Queensland's progress as a Smart State since 1998. The report reviews Queensland's outstanding economic performance as an essential precursor to smart growth and considers a range of indicators and case studies demonstrating Queensland's progress in the four key drivers of smart growth - education, skills, research and innovation.
