Message from the Premier
One of the privileges of being Premier is that I get to meet so many Queenslanders who are doing smart things.
It gives me a great sense of pride to know that our Smart State approach is being adopted not just in areas like biotechnology and education but right across the board.

From a breakthrough in cataract prevention to a world-first material used in a river walkway, from a unique beauty product developed on a cattle property to an invention to help us win swimming gold medals, from the latest mining technology to a major boost for archaeologists, we meet Queenslanders who have shown initiative, imagination and often courage.
These people have made Smart State more than a mantra, they have made it a reality.
