Biotech on show
The Smart State will be in the international biotechnology spotlight again in November when Queensland hosts the AusBiotech 2004 National Conference.
Australia’s premier national biotechnology conference is expected to attract more than 1,500 delegates from Australia and around the world.
AusBiotech 2004 will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre between November 7 and 10. There will also be a satellite meeting on Novermber 12 in Cairns, called ClubBiodiversity.
The theme for AusBiotech 2004 is “Going Global”, which is about the next stages in the evolution of Australia’s biotechnology sector.
Professor Peter Andrews, Queensland’s first Chief Scientist, is one of the speakers.
