In 2005-06, Invest Queensland was instrumental in attracting 11 projects to the State, creating an estimated 551 new jobs and $260 million in capital expenditure.

Driving exports Driving exports

The new five-year export strategy, Driving Export Growth for Queensland 2006-2011, is focused on building knowledge-intensive exports and the development of an export culture.
Driving Smart Exports, a key component of the strategy, tailors export initiatives to specific knowledge-intensive industries by providing comprehensive in-market support to industries such as mining services, training and education, aviation and agribusiness as well as emerging industries such as biotechnology and the creative industries.

The strategy also builds the Queensland ‘brand’ internationally and provides export advice to local business.
